Jesús López Menendez

Master's Student

Biography:

I completed my undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering at Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICAI) in Madrid, where I built a strong foundation in thermodynamics and mechanical design. My final degree project focused on co-cured and bonded-in metallic inserts for a Formula Student composite monocoque chassis.

I was actively involved in Formula Student as Technical Director of the ISC Racing Team and gained industrial experience as a Virtual Factory Engineer Intern at Gestamp, supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives across global manufacturing facilities.

Currently, my research focuses on electrochemical refrigeration through a Rankine cycle, exploring efficient and sustainable thermodynamic architectures. My research interests include heat transfer, advanced refrigeration technologies, and sustainable thermal systems.
